Surgical Process Monitoring

Your Surgical Process is Safe: Scientific, Systematic, and Personalized

Your obesity and metabolic surgeries are performed under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Halil Coşkun in A Group Private Hospitals, which have the infrastructure specialized in bariatric surgery, internationally accredited standards, and high hygiene and patient comfort standards.

Our goal is not only to perform a successful surgery but to provide a holistic treatment experience based on scientific guidance and a human-centered approach at every stage of the process.

Why is Post-Surgery Monitoring Important?

Obesity surgery is not just a surgical procedure. The real success is achieved through correct and regular follow-up. The follow-up process is critical to prevent potential complications, monitor healthy weight loss, maintain vitamin-mineral balance, and continuously improve quality of life.

How Does the Follow-Up Process Work?

Early Post-Operative Control

The first physical examination is performed within 3–5 days after discharge. The surgical site, general health condition, and fluid tolerance are assessed.

1-Month Control

Blood tests, biochemistry, complete blood count, and vitamin and mineral levels are evaluated. Necessary supplements and new protocols tailored to individual lifestyle habits are created.

3, 6, 12, 18, and 24-Month Follow-Ups

Weight changes, metabolic improvements, hormonal status, and psychological adaptation are closely monitored. Nutrition, exercise, and supplement protocols are adjusted based on these data.

After 2 Years

For long-term success monitoring, we recommend regular annual check-ups. In these check-ups, metabolic parameters, body composition, and quality of life are evaluated.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How soon can I return to work after surgery?

The return time depends on the type of surgery and individual recovery process, but most of our patients can return to desk jobs within 7–10 days. For more physically active jobs, a special plan should be made with your doctor.

2. What happens if I miss a follow-up?

Follow-up visits are crucial for maintaining vitamin-mineral balance, weight management, and early diagnosis of potential complications. It is recommended not to miss these follow-ups, but if you do, you can contact our team to reschedule.

3. Is the follow-up process only done in person?

No. For patients living abroad or outside the city, we offer online follow-up consultations, digital sharing of laboratory results, and video-supported counseling services.

4. When can I start exercising after surgery?

Generally, light exercises like walking can start in the first week. However, more strenuous exercises should wait for 4–6 weeks. During this period, our team will provide a personalized exercise plan for you.

5. How long should I use vitamin and mineral supplements?

This period varies depending on the individual. Generally, regular use is recommended for the first 6–12 months. Based on laboratory results, your doctor and dietitian will reassess the dosage and duration.
