Our Clinical Vision

Obesity is currently a serious health issue affecting one-third of the world’s population and threatening both quality and length of life. Among the most scientifically effective treatment methods for this disease are obesity surgeries performed through metabolic surgical approaches.

Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Halil Coşkun, our clinical studies aim not only to achieve successful surgical interventions but also to offer a patient-specific, long-term, holistic health approach. Our founder, Prof. Coşkun, has to date successfully performed:

  • Over 5,000 laparoscopic obesity surgeries,
  • Over 3,000 sleeve gastrectomies,
  • Over 1,500 endoscopic gastric balloon procedures, and
  • Over 6,500 laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures.

Scientific Strength, Patient-Centered Approach

Our clinical vision is based on evidence-based, personalized treatment approaches and strong patient-doctor communication. We carefully listen to each patient’s history, expectations, and goals to create a tailored, sustainable roadmap.

Our surgical procedures include:

  • Sleeve Gastrectomy
  • Gastric Bypass (Mini / Roux-en-Y)
  • Distal Gastric Bypass
  • Duodenal Switch
  • Metabolic / Diabetes Surgeries
  • Revision Surgeries
  • Endoscopic Gastric Balloon
performed in fully equipped hospitals according to medical and ethical standards.

Patient Communication

Patient consultations can be conducted both face-to-face and via online platforms. Online consultations are organized by our patient coordinator. You can reach us through our WhatsApp line (+90 532 054 0049) or our Instagram page (@bariatriklab).

Preoperative Assessment

A comprehensive preoperative evaluation process is implemented during surgery planning.

This process includes:

  • Complete blood and biochemistry tests
  • Vitamin and mineral profiles
  • Upper gastrointestinal system endoscopy
  • Consultations from relevant specialties (endocrinology, psychiatry, pulmonology, anesthesia, etc.)
planned according to the individual risk profile.

Postoperative Follow-Up Protocol

Our patients are generally discharged on the 2nd or 3rd day.

Follow-up plan:

  • Initial check-up: Day 3–5
  • Routine follow-ups: 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, and 24th months
  • Subsequently: Annual follow-ups
Blood values, vitamin and mineral levels, and clinical evaluations are monitored comprehensively.

Nutritional Follow-Up

Our bariatric nutrition programs are conducted by Specialist Dietitian Nida Yıldız. Having gained clinical experience at the Cleveland Clinic and completed her specialization and doctoral thesis in bariatrics, our dietitian provides patients with personalized nutrition plans.

Longevity and Functional Health Approach

Obesity surgeries provide a strong start for patients’ weight loss journey; however, sustainable health is only achievable through a holistic life plan, not surgery alone.

Therefore, our clinic offers programs not only for surgical intervention but also aimed at improving post-surgery quality of life and slowing biological aging.

Our Functional Medicine & Longevity approach is built on the following principles:

  • Maintaining metabolic balance and insulin sensitivity
  • Supporting and preserving muscle and bone structure
  • Improving microbiota health and strengthening the immune system
  • Individual health monitoring through scientific methods such as NAD+ support, IV therapy, and functional testing
  • Developing personalized health plans and life guides
  • Integration of long-term clinical effects of GLP-1 and GIP analogs
  • Lifestyle optimizations such as circadian rhythm, sleep management, and stress regulation

Within this framework, we develop specialized programs for both post-surgery patients and those who have not yet undergone surgery but aim to age healthily.

Healthy aging is possible. What matters is not only how long you live, but how well you live.

“Not just surgery, but a sustainable health vision.”

We guide each patient on a personalized, science-based, and human-centered journey.
