Academic Career

Born in Mersin in 1990.
Graduated from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Haliç University in 2015.
Completed her master’s degree at Acıbadem University in 2019. Her master’s thesis titled “The Effect of Probiotic Supplementation on Constipation and Gastrointestinal Quality of Life After Sleeve Gastrectomy” earned her the title of specialist dietitian.
Started her PhD at Acıbadem University in 2020, passed the PhD qualifying exam, and began working on her thesis in Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Nutrition.
In 2020, she taught a course on Bariatric Surgery and Nutrition as a visiting lecturer at Bahçeşehir University, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.

During university years, participated in the Erasmus student exchange program and interned at Utenos Kolegija under Utena Hospital in Lithuania. (2011)
After graduating, went to the USA. Trained and received certification as a dietitian observer at the Cleveland Clinic Bariatric and Metabolic Institute (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). (2015)
Also trained and received certification as a dietitian observer at the Cleveland Clinic Diabetes Center (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). (2015)

Attended the Nutritional Assessment course at the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA). (2015)
Between 2016-2020, worked part-time as a consultant dietitian in mass catering at Sardunya Gıda Mutfak İşletmeleri Ticaret A.Ş.
Since 2015, she has been following up with obesity and metabolic surgery patients alongside Prof. Dr. Halil Coşkun.

Prepared a book content with Prof. Dr. Halil Coşkun, aimed at increasing public awareness regarding obesity surgery, to be published soon.
Worked on the Nutrition-Friendly School Program, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, to educate preschool, primary, secondary, and high school students on obesity, diabetes, and healthy eating.
